Update on Appeal

I contacted my secondary insurance yesterday (My primary does not cover WLS) regading my appeal. The Board of Trustees meeting is in 2 weeks. ~~This is the process for appeals through my secondary insurance company..... Appeals are reviewed Quarterly, at the Board of Trustees meetings~~

So, they have had the paperwork/appeal since June 6th (sent certified mail). Now, at least I have a date for the determination

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
