Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Thanks for everyone's tips and support.

The appeal was sent in today. We scheduled a surgery date for August 2nd.

My doctor must be hopeful for an approval. They said they have appealed insurance before that had BMI close to 50 and won. So, it sounds promising.

My surgeon's office did all the work. They have done a lot of appeals. I hope so too, thanks
