HI EVERYONE I HAVE RECENTLY DIAGNOSED W PCOS. I WONDER IF THIS SHOULD JUSTIFY A REVISION FROM THIS CRAPBAND THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE I AM 10LBS AWAY FROM THE WEIGHT I WAS THE DAY OF MY SURGERY. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WILL ASSIST WITH GETTING ANOTHER SURGERY???? (ALSO I KNOW ITS A PCOS BOARD I POSTED THERE AS WELL)......THANKS
It's very hard to lose with PCOS, and a low carb diet is considered the best possible treatment. Since the DS is managed best with a low carb diet, it seems to offer good outcomes for those with PCOS.
You'll need to be evaluated for a revision. Try Dr. Greenbaum in Willingboro, and talk to him about a your options. If you're more comfortable going into NYC, see Dr. Roslin or Dr. Pomp.
Don't go back to Ballantyne, he's a tool who pushes the lap band onto people whose BMIs are too high for true success via the band.
