You would think the 2nd time around would be easier. Guess NOT
So once again I have Nilsa as my insurance coordinator at NYU. For my first surgery I literally had to fight this woman to do her job and submit my paper work for insurance approval and seem like I will have to do this again. The first time I had to stay on top of her like white on rice and that still wasnt enough. I was hoping that this time around would be easier and that maybe things would be different. Boy was I wrong, not only did I get the same coordinator but the same BS as well. She told me she was sending my paper work in on Fri since she got the Upper GI results back. I called my insurance to see if they got a pre authoization and they said no. So I called back today and once again no. This time they told me that if im tying to have surgery June 21st then I need this paper work sent over Urgent and right away since the holiday is coming up and that will slow things down. I called nilsa and she tells me that she didnt send it out yet and she will do it. I dont know if this woman is super busy or super lazy. I hate the fact that I have to stay on top of her to do her job. Does this make any sense???????????????
Can you bribe her with anything to just DO HER DANM JOB!!??!! I am siding with the lazyness theory. I truely understand that you can get busy in a heck of a hurry, but, she said she would do it, and it was not done, and when you call her & ask..... "she did not send it out, yet"???? COME ON!!!!
I hope that your paperwork gets there & you get an APPROVAL!!!!!
