????What are your thoughts on revision from Lap Band to RNY????
I have the band also. It has been a complete waste of time and MONEY! I am hoping to revise myself.
I just wish someone had told me BEFORE I got the band what is was REALLY like! That is why I urge all of you bandster/former bandsters on here to post your experiences on the band forum. Those that are pre-op need to hear stories like ours so they can make an informed decision about the band!
Please.......PAY IT FORWARD!
I have never heard of this guy being a DS surgeon. Ever.
If you are thinking of getting a DS, you'd better ask a bazillion questions of this guy. Ask who he trained with to learn the DS. Ask how many DSs he's done - counting SEPARATELY those he's assisted with and those he's done himself. How many has he done lap.
I'll bet he's a bait-and-don't-switcher who ADVERTISES that he does the DS, and then conVEEEENiently talks you out of it as not being in your best interests - because, of course, he doesn't EVER do them.

I had my LAP band put in July 2006. It was always nothing but problems for me. I finally had to decide to have it taken out due to complications even when it was not full. The lowest I had gotten with the band was 226 and then I got pregnant again and after having the baby was 280. I had my band taken out and was revised to RNY in July 2010 and I am now 203. I love it and feel way better now the I ever did with the band.
