I am very happy with my revision to the sleeve.  I wish I would havve had the sleeve first and not had to go thru the 3 previous surgeries with the lapbband.  The sleeve does what the band is supposed to do, without all the hassle of fills and unfills and constant throwing up. 

It looks like you got your band the same time I got my first band, which was in Sept 06. 

UHC was great in paying for all my surgeries.   Hopefully, if you have bariatric coverage with your new insurance they wil pay for a revision.  It sounds like if you have had 4 surgeries with the band, that you have enough documentation  that its not working for you.  .  It seems to me that the sleeve would end up being so much cheaper for insurance companies in the long run, because unless there is a complication, you have the surgery, and you are done.  With the band, they pay for the surgery and then have all the cost of aftercare with fills.
