Band Revisions ??/ Anyone
I had the band for 3 1/2 years. My tubing got a leak early on, so I lost restriction. Then the tubing broke in half inside my body and my band slipped. Now I have the sleeve and I LOVE it. I actually have restriction and I can control myself around food. I am down 20 pounds the first month. Message me anytime if you have questions!
Statistically speaking the band IS bad. It is loaded with risks and complications and is not an effective surgery type for most.
Even the band makers have on their website that 25% need it removed in the first 5 years and another 25% need a 2nd surgery to repair a mechanical problem. That just does not add up to a safe or effective WLS.
