Dr. Rabkin revises patients to a TRUE DS. Not an ERNY, as she has foolishly stated here. Please call his office yourself for any questions you may have and to get a consult on YOUR particular case.

I stand firm in my previous recommendation. If you want a true RNY to DS revision, see Dr. Rabkin or Dr. Keshishian. Best of luck.

Carly, what everyone else already said. Get a real revision surgeon, Dr. Rabkin or Dr. K.

Dr. Rabkin comes to Chicago every few months for our support group meetings. You can come to Chicago and meet him in person, see what you think, just by taking a short trip.

Check in with his office to find out when he will next be in Chicago. Our meetings are the third Monday evening of each month.

I'd look at Husted in Phoenix, I believe he has the cheapest program fee as well and he's more experienced than Dr. K.

 
What patients come out of OR with is fully up to the patient.  If someone wants a specific procedure and they know the risks, it's their choice and who are we to say their doctor isn't good because of this?

As of three months ago Husted was much more experienced than Dr. K.

It is Rabkin that I'm seeing that people are posting he wants them to have ERNY.  I can only assume there is a reason due to surgical anatomy?  I don't know.

I'm just really tired of seeing the BS about Husted and wrong information.  People make it sound like people go into surgery expecting one procedure and they come out with a totally different surgery type and a hack job.  That's just flat out wrong and dishonest.  It's like info on Vergito that people spew, it's just nonsense.  Such as we don't know what the omentum does.  Total horse**** we know exactly what it does.  But people throw doubt into the minds of newbies and revisions and I do believe that is the ultimate goal.  Not truth and honest, but pet doctors instead.

There is one person, a peppy, perky, annoying, pain in the butt plastics coordinator that isn't posting anymore, if folks will notice.  She got caught doing all the above for commissions.  She's no longer posting here for a reason. ;o)  Trying to ruin the rep of a good, safe, and skilled doctor in order to push another got her in some deep trouble from a few sources.  But, she went way too far with it.  OH took a stance on the topic as well, as they should have.

NO. At best, you are mistaken. Dr. Rabkin is not advocating people get an ERNY when he does their revisions. He does true RNY to DS revisions, stomach, intestines, etc.. You may be thinking of Dr. Greenbaum, who trained under the Rabkins to learn the DS years ago.

The first part of your statement is NOT true. Rabkin does not want people to have the ERNY--the worst of both worlds. Please do not state this falsehood again. Maybe HE can get as lawsuit-happy as your new best friend, Husted. THAT's why people are too scared to say "boo" about him anywhere. Get a clue, you shameless shill.

Okay, this was bugging me because I know full well this is inaccurate information so JFTR I called Husted.  Yup, it's Sunday morning and I called him.  I asked him specifically how many Distal/ERNY he has done recently.  He hasn't done one in over 10 years.  So my question would be, where are you getting your information?  Who told you he's been doing more and more of them?  I have to be honest, I see wrong information from Dr. K patients ALL the darn time about Husted and it's not right.  Please understand, I am not suggesting you are being dishonest but I am flat out saying that wherever you are getting your info, it's plain wrong info. I see it from Dr. K patients all the time and from a handful of Rabkin patients.

Dr. K doesn't suggest Distal/ERNY and neither does Husted.

Unless you can demonstrate that people won't come out of surgery with with a full DS assuming that is what they want, if Husted does their surgery you are doing a great disservice to those trying to find the right doctor for them.  Quite frankly, Husted is more experienced than Dr. K and he can do more surgery types than Dr. K.  So what's up with this?  Why so mu*****orrect info being posted from Dr. K patients and always about Dr. Husted?
