revision after 2 years???and if medicare pays?

I'm almost 2 yrs out from rou en y and i have lost all together about 100 pounds in the 1st year but then it stopped i cant lose anything else ive tried. I was wondering if anyone knows if or when u can get a rivision done and if medicare pays for it? If anyone has had this experience please let me know im so depressed about not  losing all my weight.

Yes, I believe that Medicare will pay if you are still morbidly obese (40 BMI) or if there was a complication with your original surgery. You might need to ask your surgeon to be sure though. They did pay for mine.

Typically you have to be 2 years post op before ins will pay for a revision.

What revision are you considering?

Here's a listing of vetted DS surgeons, but---there are very few surgeons capable of doing a 'true' RNY-to-DS revision. There's Rabkin and Keshishian in CA, Husted in AZ, Greenbaum in NJ, and Elariny in VA. I don't know if any of them accept Medicare assignment.
