Lap Band Removal Tomorrow... anyone done this?

I am having my lap band removed tomorrow due to complications.  Has anyone else had this done?  Is it pretty much the same as having it put in?

I had my lap band removed due to late term complications, and I went home a few hours after surgery, not the same as having it put in, much simpler.

I had my band removed 2 times and both recoveries were OK. I have since converted to RNY. Had too man problems with the band.

My lapband removal was worse than having it done.  I am having RNY in a week, I am hoping it isn't as bad.  It wasn't THAT bad but for me it was worse.  I think everyone is different.

 
i don't know because I revised to a sleeve at the same time.  I can tell you that where the port was.... that was the worst part of the surgery.  That hurt.  Not unbearable pain, it just damn well hurt.  You can't dig a device out of a muscle and not expect pain. ;o)

Band surgery.. dangerous.  Revision to a sleeve, priceless.
