That's fantastic! I had my lapband done in 11/2006, it did not work for me either. I never acheived any restriction, and if I didn't need restriction then I could've lost weight without the surgery. I didn't really consider RNY when I got my lap band b/c I thought I'd try the least envasive thing first. After four years I've decided that I'm going to have RNY. It's great you were approved!!!  May I ask what insurance you have? I have Aetna. I'm so worried they won't approve me!
