Revision Expectations

I'm needing to have a revision due to a fistula and ulcers. I got those by taking high doses of prednisone and other immune suppressants for just over a year for a non WLS related kidney issue. So I guess my question is, whats it like the second time around? Scarier? Harder? More painful? I'm actually fairly relaxed about the whole thing (right now!) but I think on wednesday when I get a date there might be a bit more panic. I feel prepared but at the same time its almost as unfamiliar as when I had the first surgery.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

I just had LAP revision of RNY due to ulcer and gastrogastric fistula.
I had developed an ulcer and I also had an erosion of a previous silastic ring.
My revsion was done on Oct.12.
I was extremely nervous and scared of complications.
all went as planned and i did have some adhesions.
my surgeon is very skiled at revisions and answered ALL of my questions and put me totally at ease! he is so patient and understanding!!
i am recovering nicely and have lost 15 lbs so far.
At first i was in a lot of pain..but i have bounced back quicker than the first time around.
I feel very different from the first surgery...probably because I already had the pouch and I just know more :)
My original Lap RNY was in 2000. I was up about 40 lbs from my lowest.
The last 6 months  prior to my surgery though..I did not have any restrictions.
Wishing you best of uck...ask all of your questions now!!
keep me posted!!
