Well I just got my Upper GI results back and it's normal.  Has anyone heard of Food Intolerance with the lap-band??

The doctor said we need to look at my food choices and I might have Food Intolerance.

I somewhat wish I could have the band taken out but I'm so afraid of putting the weight back on again.

I am considering revision.  I have lots of food intolerance with my band, no matter how small I cut it and how much I chew there are foods that just will not pass through my band.  I don't even try to eat veggies anymore, except for the occasional bean, like pintos or black beans, something that will fill my protein goal.  I had a bad experience my first year, changed doctors, and did really well for a while then zip just quit losing and started gaining.  I had to be partially unfilled and that is when I really gained.  I know I can't do it on my own, but I don't think the band is going to help me to get there either.  I end up eating mushies, which are normally fattening just to get food in.  I don't do well with meat either and when I can eat I can't eat but about 3 oz.

Good luck and I know how you feel.

If you have a lot of food intolerances it would be more likely that you have BAND intolerance, not food intolerance.

The band got me to goal, the sleeve will keep me there.
