anybody had a revision from vbg to a vsg?????

I am worried about the  revision to a gastric bypass and potential for bowel obstructions, ulcers and malabsorption and am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to do a vsg after one has had a vbg

It depends on your surgeon's technique. If he used mesh you will have a harder time finding a surgeon do a staple line. If they used a silastic ring, no big deal.

The mesh leaves you at very high risk for a leak post op.

I had the vbg with the mesh and now I am having a revision to the bypass in December if everything goes smoothly. I wish you the best of luck trying to find the surgery that is right for you.
