I think I got the worst of the sleeve...

Hi Spybo,

I know you got answers from other VSGers and I responded to your previous posts about iron deficiency anemia.

My ferritin was 6 a year after surgery. I had one infusion at the hospital and my iron is still normal one and a half years later so what I am saying to you is that low iron does NOT have to be a permanent condition. I no longer take B12 sublingual although I used to take it everyday. I did not have anemia pre sleeve. My daily intake of vitamins is a Trader Joes multi, a probiotic, and a PPI for my reflux. It actually started with my lapband in 2003 til present with the sleeve.

I also have reactive hypoglycemia. If you eat more frequently, stay away from the carbs ans sugar and try to eat smaller more frequent amounts, you can control this too. Do you honestly think if you had a DS, your outcome would be better? seriously.... You would be taking more supplementation for malabsorption and also be having the same issues with your sleeve.

Just saying...
