Hi everyone!

I am finally ready to get rid of the pain my lapband has caused me.  My doctor is recommending the sleeve, so anyone that has advice for me, I can use it!  Thanks

Try posting this on the sleeve board, you'll get more responses. Wish I could get a sleeve instead of this stupid band!

I hear ya!  The tubing of my band has broken off and it is so painful!  Luckily my insurance covers revision.

Why don't you? Is it an insurance issue?

Yep my insurance has changed and has an exclusion. I'm hoping tho when I reach medicare age in a few years they will be doing them. Just waiting till my time is right. Hopefully I can find a surgeon who will do it since I have a clotting disorder which is why I got stuck with the stupid band he wouldn't do RNY. Good things come to those who wait!?!

Medicare pays for revisions, as long as you meet the original criteria still (bmi etc). I hope you can find a surgeon. My two sons have clotting disorders too... hemophilia b.

I'm two years waiting for my revision. I knew almost immediately that the band wasn't right.
