anyone retaining fluid after revision surgery?

Hi everyone,came home yesterday,doing o.k.wanted to ask if anyone else was full of fluid after surgery? I was 8 lbs heavier.thank you all for your prayers.

Hi there, I would guess that it is fluids gain from the IV fluids you received in the hospital.

Fluids and the excess gas trapped in your body and the anesthesia will cause any where from 8-15 pound weight gain

Thanks ladies for the replies about fluid retention after surgery.I should of thought about the iv's,plus they were'nt giving me my dyazide.Guess i got anesthesia hang over.anyway i dropped 13 lbs since then.Boy that fluids heavy.
