Hi Wendy!
wow. You got approved so quickly for revision? what insurance? yes..miracle worker surgeon u have!
Do not be nervous at all. Just do as they say!!
I had Lap RNY almost 10 yrs ago.waiting for ins approval for revision. i developed an ulcer and a fistula..which is rare.
I consider myself a compliant patient and a success. Only up about 35 lbs from lowest weight.
yes the grazing was/is a bit much and I need to exercise more.
Remember no ones perfect!
Helpful hints would be:
take full advantage of the "honeymoon" stage and your new tool!
protein first
stop eating as soon as you are full
listen to your new pouch carefully do not pu**** with 1 more bite
exercise even if its baby steps like little wallks at first.
do something u like as far as the exercise is concerned
attend support groups
take all necessary vitamins
never eat and drink at the same time
wait an hour to drink ( or whatever your surgeon says)
drink lots of water and more water..:)
watch the carbs..for they are evil
caffeine is evil too!!

best of luck..the weight should fly off..email me if you have more questions.
good luck.best wishes

Hi there!  Don't be scared - are you having both the revision to RNY AND the band removed at the same time?  I had two separate surgeries.

When I had the band out, OMG - I swear I woke up a new person!  The burning, squeezy feeling was GONE!!  The creepy port was GONE!  I felt awesome and over a year later with the RNY, I feel outstanding!

I had some adhesions removed in May, they were the worst pain I have ever felt - equal to or worse than labor pain.  As revision patients, we need to be extra careful about adhesions from all the action that went on in the abdomen, you know?

Best of luck, and don't worry - report back as soon as you can.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask!
