Anyone gone from Lap-Band to RNY???
Hello !! I was banded 2004. Two years later the band slipped and I had all the fluid removed. Fast forward to July 2010, the band slipped again. Food would remain in the top pouch until I'd choke on it. I was sleeping sitting up completely, but, still I aspirated. Terrible heartburn and reflux. Saw my surgeon (best in the world) He wrote a letter to insurance co. I was approved days later and had the band out and RNY done on 8/4/10. Due to the amount of scar tissue surgery lasted over 5 hours. Recovery was much less painful than lapband. I feel wonderful. Best of luck!!.
