Revision of RNY after fistula

hi there, Im having surgery to fix my Fistula,  Sept 14th, and I cant wait, I had surgery 9 years ago, Im not scared at all, I am scared of gaining my wieght back!!!! I have only gained 5 pounds this year, But i have been keeping an eye on it and watching what i eat . My first surgery was just the stapling of the stomach and the re routeing of the intestines, Doc says he is gonna transect me me this time but leave my pouch the same size because his only concern is that I may lose more wieght than i need too. I will let you know how it turns out.

How long did it take you to get insurance approval for revision?
I have gained over the 9 plus years about 35.
I originally had Lap RNY.
Dr says if I do not repair fistula I will slowly gain back and have more ulcers.
I am def going for revision. He said he will do Lap RNY..make a new pouch and remove some of old stomach that controls appetite. i will not get a fistula again hopefully.
I can def eat more and trying hard to watch.
I have NO restriction now.
At least there is no pain.
