HELP! Looking for Surgeon (Mexico) for Lap Band Revision to Duodenal Switch

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with a Lap Band Revision to a Duodenal Switch?  I'm also looking for recommendations for a surgeon.  I do not have insurance to cover this procedure so I am open to having this done in Mexico.  Any thoughts?

I think that Dr. Ungston does revisions. He would be the ONLY doctor in Mexico that I would recommend for the DS. Also, have you thought about Brazil? Dr. Marchesi(sp?) is very highly thought of in the DS field. Good luck!

Thanks Amanda!  I emailed both Dr. Ungson and Dr. Marchesini.  Ungson has replied, but I haven't heard from Marchesini as of yet.  I have no idea what the surgery will cost in Brazil, but I'd be willing to travel farther for an excellent surgeon if I can possibly afford it.
