BC/BS Federal - Prerequisites? Diet?

So, my doctor is recommending a revision. Which is great for me. It's news I wanted to hear. Basically my RNY was a mechanical failure.

Now, if you have BC/BS Federal...did they have requirements? Like a pre-op diet, etc?

I know I have to go through all hte evals and such prior to surgery. But I'd never heard BC/BS Federal requiring a pre-op diet. They neve required it for the first surgery and I've read some others's with same insurance not needing it either?

Any idea of what their requirements are? The clerk at the doctors office said, the doctor would send off his referral and we'd have to wait for approval and such...and see if  they required a diet. So I was like wtf? I'd never heard that with BCBS Fed.

Same insurance for me (basic option) and they did not require any kind of post-op diet.  I didn't have any pre-reqs at all, actually.
