1st doc appt was today for revision

Thanks everyone! It is a scary process...but I am still weighing my options.

I also have BCBS FEP and am wondering what the qualifier was for you to have the revision approved.

I am just beginning to regain the weight after 7 years so I don't think they would approve it on weight gain, but I've had several medical issues including unresolved GERD and ulcer. I also had surgery to remove adhesions.

If anyone knows more about this, please let me know!

My doctor said that it pretty much has to be a mechanical failure, basically something wrong with your pouch. I'm having an  endoscopy done tomorrow to determine that.

I had 3 surgeries to removed adhesions (they basically told me it was hernias). My intestines were being caught and pinched within the spiderwebs of the adhesions.

I'm just starting again...so I'm very knew to all this as well.

I had the band over bypass in February and am having it removed in 2 weeks.  Not only has it caused problems, but I have not lost a pound.  Apparently that is quite common with band over bypass patients.  So, all in all, I do not recommend it.
