revision surgery in less than 2 weeks

 hi all, attended my preop visit yesterday and all is a go for august 24 at brigham and women's in boston. my surgeon is dr david lautz.  having a revision of rny with a hernia repair.  my last surgery was more than 20 years ago, so a lot has changed since then. to start off with, the surgery is lap, whereas back in the day it was open and i have the seven inch scar on my chest to prove it.  so looking forward to a much easier recovery this time.  anyone out there had revision with dr lautz at B&W, Id love to hear from you.  

 You need to post on the DS board. There are lots of RNY to DS people there who can help you.

Youo have a BMI of 51---I surely hope you're getting revised to the DS. It's been shown to give the very BEST long-term, maintained weight loss, especially for those of us with a starting BMI greater than 50. I do not, however, think Dr. Lautz DOES the DS.

Please, PLEASE look into the DS before you go under the knife!!!
