Lap band-Tilted port revision

I had my surgery at the end of April, have lost almost 50lbs...but have always had bad port pain. They think it is caused by a tilted port digging into sensitive tissue and causing irritation. They say the only way to fix this is surgically.

For some reason this terrifies me more then the actual surgery did. Only because the port site has been so sensitive that the thought of someone cutting into it horrifies me.

Has anyone had a port revision? What happened, what was recovery like? I need to know what to expect here.

I have not had to go back in yet but I swear if I did, I would pay for the low profile port.  I wish I was given an option before surgery.  I have some discomfort but more than that, it still freaks me out a bit that I can see/feel the standard port. Good luck to you and remember, it is never as bad as you think it is going to be, so you will be fine!
