I have regained about 50 lbs since my RNY in 2000. ive been struggling starving my self and taking phentermine cuz i was terrified when i realized i was able to eat normal again and hungry all the time but I got tired of the battle and gave up. I totally know that hungry pills are no good and starving aint good either. From all the stories ive read i see that the best long lasting surgery is DS but im afraid i may not qualify for it. Needles to say id probably have to pay out of pocket cuz there are no DS surgeons here in florida. my current weight is 160 lbs and my height is 5'2" bmi 29.2. or any other high rate sucess revision for the moderately overweight post op?

I'm guessing due to your current weight and normal bmi you would not qualify for a revision. Have you been to see your orginial surgeon recently?

I think it is all so individual.  It depends on alot, such as if you have a mechanical failure, type of insurance coverage, etc.  My bmi is just hovering at barely 30, and I am trying to get my 3rd revision to ds.  I don't forsee any problems with insurance, as I am having a lot of issues with my current erny.

You won't know until you search it out and fight for it if you have to.

I wish you the best!

I sure hope to, at this point though I am hopeful for getting to goal, but the main concern is not hurting and being able to eat more solid foods.  I have been on what some call slider foods since I had my rny in 04.  Have had trouble from the begining with being able to eat dense protein that stays with me.   Give me soup, or chicken salad and I am good to go, except with a dialted stoma it goes right on through and causes me to be hungry too soon.
