checking in with everyone waiting to "revise"

 So those of you going from LapBand to DS, did anyone have the lapband removed first?. I had the lapband removed last October, but they didn't want to do any revision since I had a dialated esophagus and they wanted to make sure it would go back to normal (or close to it.) Now I want the DS, but Aetna is saying that I have to do the 6 month physician weight loss BS. Aetna did not pay for the LapBand 6 years ago. I lost some weight but had many of the same problems the rest of you are talking about. 

Did anyone else have their band out first and get approved without having to do the waiting period?  I have a copy of their policy and if they consider it a revision it sounds like I don't have to do the 6 months, but because they did not do it at the same time as the band was removed, I have to start over??? What a bunch of BS!!
