Penn. Highmark BCBS ins.?

 Wow, I didn't think of any of the things that you mentioned but I soooo agree!!  
I hope to see all three of us on the losing side some day tho!!  

I realize that its a bit late to answer this but I had Pennsylvania Highmark BCBS and tried to fight them and get them to cover the DS, I'm a lapband revision.  They wouldn't do it, in fact there's another Ds'r who was fighting them at the same time that I was, she got a lawyer and still they stood fast.  She ended up being a self pay, as I am going to be.  Sorry for the bad news, I did the 6 month diet, exercise the whole bit, proved that my lapband was non-functional but they would only approve the RNY.

Seriously....uggg!!  Well, I've not been submitted as of yet.  They do cover it as an initial procedure but not as a revision, wonder why not??  I know I tried for the DS 5 years ago, and they did not cover it at all. 
Well, thanks for the heads up.....btw where are you getting it and if you don't mind, how much does it cost??
