I am almost ready for the surgeon's office to get the insurance package submitted!!!! YAY, YAY, YAY!!!! Just plugging along (mostly ignoring & hoping it will go away) towards getting my food log completed & that is the last piece to the puzzle.

So, round #2 for submittal will be soon.

Just to back-track, did the first insurance submittal for a revision from my 2002 RNY to DS September of 2009. The insurance company (it is all in my profile under the October blog) did not deny me, but they did not approve me, either, they just wanted more testing done. Seemed like that TOOK FOEVER, to get the testing done. Waiting is hard!!!!

Sorry it took a week to reply, but life has been CRAZY!!! As well as work.

Thank YOU for the positivity. I truely need that, some moments I feel already rejected & the thoughts of doubt creep in & say to me, "why bother?"

Jamie, I hear ya. Thanks to Monique I have changed medical groups in hopes to speed up the process a little and start fresh but of course I have kept a copy of everything so should go smoothly. I can’t wait for my surgery date to fix what is broken and I know you feel the same way. Anyway I will keep you posted, I have a new PC so I will be having a physical with him on the 9^th and then be requesting to see Dr. K at that time. I also have been seen a nutritionist so that should count for something I have been seeing her since the beginning of this year. Anyway I should be getting there shortly. Take care, Sophia

Hi Jamie,
Good to see you posting. You're right, waiting can be very hard but so worth it in the end. It took me 1 1/2 years from the time I started working with insurance, through denials, etc. to when I finally got my surgery.
It'll be so worth the wait - every ounce of it!

Congrats Jamie!!! I just read your blog though and now I have questions. The pre approval that you are trying to get two copies of, is that something Dr. K is having you do because I don't remember seeing that anywhere?

No, the pre-approval letter for my insurance are from ME, not required by the doc..... To me, "Every little bit counts" and heck, sure can't hurt anything!!!!
