DS resleeve??

Hey everybody!! I had a question, not sure if what I want done is a revision surgery or not, but this seemed like a great place to post my question. Okay I had my DS over  19 months ago....I have not lost a lb in 7 months...I don't eat horrible, but probably not the best. I have an appointment in a month to talk to my surgeon about getting resleeved. I already had the DS done, I just want my stomach smaller so I can finish my weight loss. Before anyone jumps in this time (last time I posted a couple people jumped me for wanting to be resleeved and said I just need to watch what I eat) ...I'm just asking because I am curious if anyone else has had the DS and then down the road sometime been resleeved. I was curious what your experience was like!!!  I am just looking at all my options!! Thanks for taking time to read this I really appreciate you!

 Hi Melontiwst,

I'm sorry I don't have much advice on what to expect on a "resleeve" as I have not had that version of WLS.  I just wanted to wish you good luck.  Don't be so hard on yourself, even as good as the DS is touted to be I am sure there are a percentage of those who do not experience the same results as the majority of them do as no one is the same...  I commend you for having the courage to move forward and research and determine what is best for you.  Hopefully your surgeon can get you going down a path that works for you.

PS I'll bet there's not a one of us who have been 100% food compliant at all times.  ;-).

Good Luck!
MEW

Did you try the ds board? I don't remember hearing of anyone doing that on oh. From what I heard, it is hard to do bc the stomach is already so small that its gets thin when stretched out. Wish you the best and really hope you can find someone that's been through this.

I do know of someone who has been resleeved and she has done really really well.  When speaking to her she told me she got great information from Dr Baltasar in Spain.  I guess he has written great papers and has wonderful information on it.

Yes, There is a lady on the DS board..... she has good information on vitamins & lab levels, too.  Her name is Diana (not Diana Cox) but I think she had the same doc.. Balatzar.  She has been re-sleeved.  Maybe do a "shout-out" post on the DS board, titled like this one?  mentioning A lady named Diana & the doc's name, that should jog some memories there.

Hope this helps you out!!!

It's not Diana, it's Dina---Dina McBride. She also has a group at "[email protected]" that's strictly about DS revisions.
