chewable calcium citrate...and the winner is...??
By far, the Bariatric Advantage mint flavored lozenge.
After doing pharmacy and online research, trying to find the best chewable calcium citrate, these are the 2 top brands I could come up with.
Bariatric Advantage- 400mg calcium citrate per tablet
Celebrate Calcium Plus- 500mg calcium citrate per tablet.
I ordered these from a website called Nashua Nutrition, free shipping over $100, here is the breakdown per tablet:
I ordered Celebrate, one of cherry tart and 2 of berries & cream. At $19.75 per tub for 90 tablets, each tablet is $.21
BA mint, one tub at $39.75 for 270 tablets, each tablet is $.14
The Celebrate tabs are huge. They also taste like favored chalk and left a big "poof" of powder on the table when I opened each tub. I was surprised because most of the reviews were good on this product, but the only advantage I see to this chewable is that it offers 100mg more than the Bariatric Advantage.
The BA mint is smaller and thicker, actually seems more like a breath mint and will partially dissolve in the mouth if you let it. Barely any aftertaste, compared to the Celebrate.
Hope this helps any calcium-crazy shoppers :)
