Hi, everyone, I have finally mustarded up the energy to give you an update on my revision from RNY to BPD/DS. I am doing fine. It's been exactly three weeks post surgery and I am doing great. I have loss 40lbs, started pre-surg at 309lbs, and today I am 269lbs. I still have some gas/bloating and stools are not formed yet but I'm not in any pain and I can eat regular food now, of course no sugar, pop, or high carbs. I have been following the program to the letter and it is paying off. I get my protein in and water as well as all of my vitamins (A, D3, multi +Iron, and calcium citrate, I also take an additional Iron pill with vit C because of my anemia pre-surgery. I know that I will reach my goal this time of 170lbs, and I am so looking forward to it...I will keep you posted of my progress and any problems I may run into...Please feel free to PM me or ask if you plan to go through this type of revision I will give you all the information I can through my experience...good luck and God bless everyone going through the revision and virgin surgery.

40lbs in 3 weeks WOW - that's huge. I had my RNY/DS revision on the 17th and have a goal to lose 100 in 6 months..  I can't believe how much easier the DS has been - I cringe everytime I think about all of the years I wasted with the stupid RNY.  What kind of exercise are you doing?

Yes, I am very excited...right now I am only walking on the tredmil, at 4 weeks I will start to do the eliptical machine...my goal is to work out for 45 min to 1hr/day 5-6 days a week. but because my surgery is still in the healing process I have to take it easy. My Dr. say not to lift anything over 5-10 pounds while healing and after 10 weeks I can add strength training. Good luck to you I wish you much success.
