Upper GI

For my doctor the 1st step in a revision is an upper GI. Radiologist was amazed that as soon as I swallowed the barium it came straight back up into my throat. Then it ran immediately out of my stomach. No wonder I either feel like food is stuck in my chest or I am constantly hungry! Maybe that's why it felt like I was having a heart attack last week! Does anyone know if this will help the process of switching from RNY to DS? I see the NUT next before I see the doc. I hope they think a revision will help my reflux. I have been on meds for Barrett's Esophagus for years. I thought the RNY would help the reflux.  It has just gotten worse. I pray this is a reason for the insurance to approve revision. Did any of you have to start with an Upper GI and find you had severe reflux that helped with the approval process? I enjoy reading all your posts and learning all I can. I wish I had had the DS as an option when I had my original surgery.
