Hi, I had a VBG years ago and now wanting to revise to a RNY, I am trying to find pictures of what the stomach will look like at the end.   Does anyone know of a link where I can see these pics?

Thanks.

Sandi-

Here is a link for you.  Just curious as to why you decided on the RNY?  Have you researched the DS?  Don't be afraid to ask questions!!!  There is lots if mis-leading information about DS.  Just thought I would mention that.

You should really explore the DS, especially considering you already have the VBG.

Check out how many RNYers on this board who have had revisions to a DS. It's pretty overwhelming once you do the research. Venture over to the DS board where there are tons who have had revisions. They're very helpful.

Thank you for the link and the responses.  The reason I am going for the RNY is because I am in BC Canada and am pretty sure that there isn't a surgeon who does it here.  Also, I am applying for OOC.  And since they don't do the DS in BC, I cannot get the DS in the States.  OOC is when your province will pay for your surgery in the States if your situation is pressing.  Right now there is a waiting time of upto 5 years to have the surgery done.  That is just too long for me.  If given the choice I would seriously consider the DS.

Hi Sandi,

I had the SRVG (just like the VBG on with a silastic ring) and I was revised to the DS back in Oct. 2007.  You will want to be careful because you may have a lot of scar tissue, which I had.  I hope your revision goes without a hitch.

Good luck!
