Cigna and revision

Has anyone had the insurance Cigna and gotten approved for a revision?  Specifically a lapband to tighten the stoma of a RNY?  I may look into getting this done.

Thank you.

Do a lot of research before deciding on your revision type. A lap-band doesn't offer any malabsorption, it just restricts. There are so many horror stories on this board from people who have had lap-band failures due to erosion, slippage, and port troubles.

I had a permanent mesh band around the top of my stoma. I had my revision from RNY to DS specifically to get it the hell off! It caused me to vomit all the time, caused esophageal erosion, and made it impossible for me to eat meat, chicken and other dense proteins. I had no trouble sneaking in carbs, though, since they melt so nicely. I never stretched my pouch, I still had that restriction, and I kept off 100 lbs, but I put back on 50 just by poor eating. I would have made better choices had I NOT had that band.

Cigna can be a bit snarky about revisions, but they do allow them.

Yes, I had CIGNA approve my RNY to band revision.
It took a while ... I started in March, got my revision at the end of Jan.
