I did great for 2 years with my band, I lost 84 lbs with a goal of 120lb weight loss. I became very ill with ulcerative colitis- I stopped eating, had my band unfilled so I could recover. It was almost a 6 month recovery. I lost 30+ lbs while I was sick. I have since gained back that 30 lbs plus another 20 lbs. The surgeon has been slowly filling my band, but to no avail. Next week I am having a fill under fluro, my first one. I have 11cc's in my 14cc band. The surgeon has suggested if this doesn't work a revision to VSG, any thoughts?

I'm a band to sleeve revision patient, and absolutely love my sleeve. The band was a nightmare for me even though I only had it for 8 months.

The sleeve vs. band is like night and day. I have been maintaining for almost a month. Eating anything and everything I want just in small portions, and truly living a normal life with no maintenance.

I just had my labs pulled, and everything was perfect. Not one deficiency, not one issue with any of my levels.

It was truly the best thing I could of ever done.

For folks considering lap band to vsg revision PLEASE post your questions on the VSG board as there are many many folks that did that revision and you are way more likely to get more answers there.
Another place to get the questions answered is Vertical Sleeve Talk website, they also have many revision folks.
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?

If you had success with your Band I have NO doubt you'll be a success with the VSG.  I have seen many many band to sleeve successful revisions.  Please post on the VSG forum as many of the revisions post directly over there.  Here's the link http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg/a,messageboard/
