I was wondering if you had insurance cover your band placement, as I seen you were at 189 when it was done and probally that wasn't 100lbs overwieght. The other question is did your surgeon have any hesitations about doing it with you bieng under 200 lbs. I had Open Rny 2002 (254lbs)  since 2 sclero's which worked for 8-10 months each keeping me in the 170's now 2 years later I am up to 225 and looking for options.

No, insurance did not cover either of my WLS as I do not have medical insurance.  My surgeon did not have any hesitations as with a revision surgery, you do not have to meet BMI requirements to qualify.  Sometimes people will even just change surgeries as a preference once they get to goal (i.e. from lap-band to sleeve, etc.).  For me, I had it done due to the major weight gain once my pouch was stretched.

Good luck to you! :)

Thank you for letting us know that you didn't feel restrictuion until the fills.  I think I would be very upset if I were not feeling restriction after BOB.
