How do you explain to people why you are getting a revision lap band to rny?

Dont tell anyone?  Thats my game plan.....only those that NEED to know.  Like my husband....my best friend.....MAYBE my 18 yr old daughter.  I caught too much flack when I had the band done, from people that I hardly even knew!  The last thing I need is for anyone to come back and say...I told you this wouldnt work....blah blah blah.  Truth is, it DID work.  I LOST 80 lbs!  Found 25 of it though...LOL  I just have severe reflux issues, as well as bile reflux....and I have never been able to tolerate more than 6 cc in my 10 cc band.....its a useless tool now.......time to come out and move on to something better:)

I wanted to Thank everyone for their input. Depression, bad bad SAD has kicked into overdrive. I ended up going to see my best friend who moved to Texas for some sunshine.

I had someone ask me if I was pregnant. :( It was the woman who does my pedicures and eyebrow waxes. I carry all my fat in my belly. I do look like I am pregnant if I am not wearing spanx or bicycle shorts.

Waiting on approval. Waiting, waiting. Its been about a month now. I have all my ducks in a row. Diet programs, letter from my physician, glowing letter from my psychologist.

Come on Barix, let us get with the program. I am going to California in Feb. It would be nice to get the surgery, recover and lose lose lose by my 38th birthday at the end of March.

It makes me so happy to read other peoples success stories! I also love it when others get approved! I am looking forward to doing my own personal happy dance when these two things get going.
