Revisions
Regarding stomaphyx, from what I've read, you might as well drive down the road while holding $100 bills out the window. I don't think ANYONE has had success with it as a revision, and I don't think it is covered by insurance. Even if it were, I wouldn't waste my revision attempt with insurance on the Stomaphyx.
I'm a revision from RNY to DS. I certainly think that's the way to go for long term success. Do your research.
Most people that have had stomaphyx and ROSE have seemed happy with it for the first few weeks (while still swollen) but then disappointed. I get the impression it is a bit experimental, and not something worth trying just yet.
Better option would be to go back to your surgeon and start investigating why you are gaining weight - you could be eating badly and need a reminder, or something might have gone wrong with your surgery.
There are various options then, and your surgeon should be the one you speak to first. If further surgery is needed then I would suggest that you get a second opinion from a surgeon who does all the different types of surgery so that you get a balanced view. You might be better off with DS for example, but if you surgeon doesnt know how to do it then you won't be offered it. Revision surgery is a specialist area anyway, so be careful.
