Moving Along

Ok, things are moving quite fast right now. I have my authorization to see Dr. Machado called them and they haven’t gotten a copy just yet. I told them I would call back next week to check. The receptionist said that was fine. Seems like the staff has changed just a little bit for the better J So I might not have any answers just yet but thing are moving along. Hey has anyone ever heard of someone getting their original RNY redone??? Meaning a new stoma and everything moved around? A friend of mine said that might be best for me.. You know I’m not trying to hear that but figured for the sake of argument I would ask the question.   Anyway just thought I would keep you posted I am almost DS bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Sophia

YAY, Sophia!!!!  Glad things are moving along for you!!!

On the RNY re-do.... The only thing that I have read was on the DS board..... A patient (RNY to DS revision) of John Husted in Kentucky .... this is according to the patient.... she was planning on having her RNY revisioned to a DS, and her & the doc agreed to only do the intestioanl portion... and left her tummy alone.  This is such an INDIVIDUAL decision, meaning, your body, your doc & ultimately YOUR decision.

But, anyways, that is the only thing that I have read..... I have not read re-doing a stoma.  That does NOT mean that it has not been done... I just have not read about it.

Hope that helped?
