Going nuts

I haven't been on here lately because things have been so nuts with work. My paperwork is in at BCBS and is waiting for approval.

Now here's the part that makes me want to scream: The town I work for is switching insurance carriers. They sprang it on us today - and the switch is Jan. 1. They're going with Cigna, and I'm not sure which policy. I haven't heard many good things about Cigna.

I wish my paperwork, which was done on Nov. 4, had been submitted on time. For some reason it was held up til Nov. 29 or 30 - something about sending it out to be typed. Really? I could have done that!  I'm really fit to be tied.

Have you posted this over on the DS Forum? I don't know squat about insurance; I had to self pay for my revision, but there are some insurance experts over there and maybe they could help.
