Revision of VSG

I had a VSG almost 2 years ago.  I would like to know if any one had this type of surgery and had to have a revision?  If so what type of revision did you choose and why? I will be seeing my surgeon in December and I really don't want to have the same type of surgery.  Any information etc. would greatly be appreciated!

The only logical revision should to be Duodenal switch.
Do your research. You already have half of the surgery done. If he is unable, unwilling to offer or do it, get other opinions. Also, please note that Duodenal switch is not "like" distal gastric bypass, that some patients are getting done.
Hope this helps.
Do your research before so that you can ask the correct questions:
examples:
1-what are the long term outcomes data with VSG, DS, RNY, distal RNY and AGB?
2-what about the same with revision data?

Good luck

Thank you very much for your response.  I was wondering about the DS.  It does seem like the best choice. I will surely do my research and get my questions together.

Thankyou,

Please come to the DS board and post some questions. We have lots of revision people. We don't bite (at least not people who have legitimate questions/concerns), I swear.
