RNY Revision

Hi, I am hoping someone will have an answer for me.  I had RNY in April 2005 and lost 100lbs, I then finally got pregnant in Oct 2006 and had a healthy little boy, I have been pregnant twice since then and ended up having miscarriages for both.  That being said three pregnancies and 50lbs later I cannot seem to get rid of the weight, I am really miserable.  I have been Hypoglycemic for as long as I can remember and it I still have it, sometimes having very low sugar as many as 3 to 4 times a day which does not help my having to eat something to bring it back up.
I am in Alaska and have Tricare.........Is there anyone who can help steer me in any direction to lose the weight or know about revision....ANYTHING!!!!

Sure, read my profile, I had RNY for 28 years and got a revision to DS 14 months ago and I;m in heaven.

Here's my 1 year post: www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/4024505/One-year-ago-today-who -could-have-known/action,replies/topic_id,4024505/page,1/

You will also want to come over to the DS Forum and read the posts and ask questions there, lots of really smart people there.

I'm loving life and my DS.

Please let me know if you find anything out, so far I have not found anything.  I did the "Metabolism B"  diet online and bought the book which helps keep the sugar levels at a decent pace, but cannot eat a lot of the stuff as it is not made for a GB pouch!!!

Hello Kerry,
I am sorry about the miscarriages. If they happened early in the pregnancy however, they probably did not have much to do with the weight regain.

Weight regains happen after all weight loss surgical procedures at different rates. It may be much more common in one operation than others.

I am clearly biased in favor of the duodenal switch. There are published articles that discuss revisions. We published one a few years. There was also a publication from Mayo clinic a few years ago that was a good summary article.
Do your research. Hope this helps.
