Well, back again. I've been denied again on a revision from RNY to DS.

It seems that my "choice" now with the evil for-profit insurance company is to pay for it myself (yea, how?) and then try to sue them for the cost.

Has anyone gone this route?

I was also denied for an RNY to DS Revision.  I haven't thought about suing them, because they were happy to offer  a revision, just not the one I wanted.  At this point I want to find a surgeon I can afford, get it done and get on with my life.  Tired of waiting and waiting.

I have a question....are you still over your ideal weight, to qualify for the revision. I was denied by my insurance because i am only 90 lbs over my ideal weight. I have had the lap band for 5 years, and for the last 2 years have been stalled with my weight loss and my doctor seems to think it could be metabolism issues or erosion....but my insurance is unwilling to approve me for a revision for ANY weight loss procedure because i am not a full 100 lbs over my ideal weight...I am so frustrated!!!
