I will be brief with my info here but have a few questions
Band #1 put in 06-06-06
Band #1 removed 11/06/07 due to an erosion
Band # 2 put in 04/29/08
Band #2 is not holding fluid as of today.

So now if there is a leak, crack or whatever that is caused by the band itself, who pays to have it fixed and or a revision done?  I know my ins wont pay for 3 bands....I was lucky enough to get 2...

Calgon take me away.................

My second band had a 'mechanical failure', too, and two different surgeons said that I shouldn't even consider a third, that my body apparently was not going to accept a band.  So I revised to RNY....something I said I'd never do, but am scared to death or regaining my 160 lbs that I'd lost so.......whatever it takes.  But everybody needs to make their own decisions with good advice from several doctors.

Did your insurance cover your revision?

I had two lapbands and finally revised to RNY 7 weeks ago.  Should have done this from day 1.  My insurance paid for all .

I am so mad that I have to pay anything or all of this stuff.  If there is a mechanical failure the manufacturer of the band should pay....just my opinion
