Day 3 Post Op

I am feeling absolutely fabulous.

I drove myself.

My surgeon told me that as long as I was not on pain pills that I could drive as soon as I was up to it.

So I am and I have no issues.

He is aware that I am driving and carrying on my normal routine all be it modified, but he does not want me to be laying in bed or on the couch all day letting my muscles go to waste.

He wants me to resume with living while healing and that is exactly what I am doing.

God is good all the time.

I so envy you right now - I had revision surgery from band to bypass and also had a hernia repair on the same day as you this surgery has thrown me for a loop - two c-sections, a gall bladder, a knee operation, and a lap band and non of them prepared me for this.....Congratulations on moving on and getting off pain meds - that's outstanding!

I hope you are recovering well.

I just have a high pain threshold nothing special.

I am not sure why or how, but I am very glad that I am able to bounce back so fast.

I so far only have pain when I use my abdominal muscles to get out of bed.

I fixed that problem by only being in bed to sleep and no****ch TV.

All is well.

Pain level is no more.

Only feel tightness or a lil pain when I use abs to get out of bed.

Following surgeons guidelines: sipping water, getting in protein, walking, taking vitamins, and being active.

All is good in the neighborhood.

I am amazed I feel so good to be honest with you consider I was open.

Sounds like your surgery was a complete success and now just get through this short little ugly part and you will be reapin' the benefits in a hot minute. ;)

My revision was open too and other than the gas pains in my shoulders, back and neck...I think I recovered rather quickly myself.  Anyhow, glad to hear you are up and at em' but do take it easy, friend.  You deserve it.

Surgery was a complete success.

I have lost 29 pounds so far.

Pain is all gone.

Get staples out on the 27th of this month.

Still have the gas a lil, but will get better once I start eating real food again.

Life is absolutely fabulous.
