Update on Teena Adler

Real quick update because I cannot type so well on Morphine.

I am fine and everything happened as planned.

Gastric Gastro Fistula Repair and Distal Gastric bypass revision /ERNY with a common channel of 90.

I am in a lot of pain because this was done open and my original was done lap.

I am in more pain than I thought I would be.

I am ok though so please pass it on.

I should be going home sometime today and I will update you more when I am up to it.

I am hella tired.

I was just discharged from the hospital so now I have to wait for my mom and dad to get here.

 Hi Teena!

I am so glad you are on the downhill side of the surgery now.    Also glad to hear you are on your way to your comfy home.....bet that makes you happy.

What did the Dr. prescribe for pain?  Hopefully something like liquid loratab....The only other thing I can suggest is make sure to keep up on your pain meds, especially the first few days out.  Don't let the pain get out of hand as it is way to hard to get it back under control once it is.

Be kind to yourself.  Your body needs all the tender loving care you can provide for it right now.  "No Pulling a TEENA for at least one week!"  ;-)

Glad you are done and on the other side.  Feel better real soon....OK?

I am glad that I am on the other side too.

I am already at home and I am hella happy.

I did get the liquid Loritab.

I aso have been staying ahead of the pain.

Friday when I woke up I was at level 10 as far as pain goes

You are funny.

I will be kind to myself and not pull a Teena for at least one week.

So they gave you a 90cc? Wow, did the Surgeon say as to why the other surgeon told you they couldn't shorten your common channel in your last surgery?

I have a 100cc....I think you will do very well with 90! I'm so glad you came through so amazingly well...Pretty soon you'll be four months out like me and it almost feels like I never had surgery at all....Oh and then reality comes back and reminds me that oh yes....Something is a little different here...

It wasn't that no one couldn't he just felt he couldn't until I knew the pro's and con's

He did not feel comfortable with doing it,

That is all behind me and I am happy that I found my surgeon and I am post op now.

I am really excited about my future and what is ahead of me as far as the challenges go.

I am also looking forward to reaching goal again no matter how hard I have heard it is after a revision.

I think I will be good with 90cc too.

I can't wait til 4 months out.

Hell I can't wait til 1 month out.

I see well good for that surgeon...I commend him for being careful and honest with you by not doing something you may not have been ready for at the time...

I am amazed at how well I am feeling and how up and about I am.

I am doing great though.

No pain meds.

I am doing what my surgeon has told me to, sipping my water, getting in my protein, taking my vitamins, and walking.

All is well.

Hi Teena-  I am glad you are home and recovering and no pain meds. You are an inspiration!
My BIG day is October 26th.
