Denial update

After several weeks of phone calls I found out my insurance through my husband's company does cover gastric bypass surgery.  I was denied correction of my fistula because my BMI is below 40. 


I am now in the process of writing my appeal letter.

I am glad to hear this before I go into the hospital.

I really don't think they will have a choice, YOU have a problem that makes you sick, it is a complication and has to be dealt with.  I think when the ins co's see the word revision they auto assume we didn't do our part.
