I revised from band to RNY in Mid June....weight loss has just been slow....not as fast as I thought. Is this normal because maybe I lost 50lbs with the band first you think?

Rose,

This is normal.

Make sure you are eating your recommend dosage of protein daily and that you eat your protein first, and you are getting in your 64 oz of water in daily as those help.

You may also want to start a walking or exercise program to help jump start your weight loss.

Revisions tend to lose the weight slower.

Good luck and keep up the great work.

Rose,

You only fail when you give up.

Giving up is not allowed around these parts.

We won't let you.

Do a personal inventory of what you are doing daily regarding what you eat, drink, exercise habits, and the rules your revision surgeon gave you and I am sure you will find some things that you can greatly improve.

You may also want to start keeping a food journal or going to fitday.com or sparkpeople.com to journal your food choices online so you can be accountable.

Keep your head up, focus, and keep your eyes on the prize (not fries).

LMAO.

We are all in your corner.

Hi Rose,

My experience has been different. I lost very quickly with my revision from lapband to sleeve. 77 pounds in 8 months with sleeve, 92 with the band and now at goal. So everyone is different.

HI Rose,
I also revised from a band to bypass.  My surgery was 5 weeks ago. I lost 32 lbs so far.  Everyone loses at a different pace.  The best advice i can give you is to stick with the eating plan your surgeon has advised along with your exercise plan.  The weight will come off and in my opinion as long as it is coming off who cares if it's a little slower.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.
