CONGRATULATIONS!
I am just embarking on my journey to revision. Any words of wit or wisdom would be appreciated. i am just not sure about this. Would appreciate hearing your story as to why you originally did the revision. Also, I am curious about the bathroom issue you are talking about.
Thanks,
Debbie

Words of wisdom...DO PLENTY OF RESEARCH! Find a VERY Qualified SURGEON. Intestinal bypass can help with weight loss and with the maintenance of it but it also comes with it's own set of challenges and concerns. What revision are you considering?
I embarked on my revision because my weight started to incline and no matter what I did, I could not take it back off. My health issues started to return. I wanted to catch my decline before I had all of my original weight back on.
When I speak of bathroom issues....when you have the shortened common channel, gas, smelly bm's and orange slicks come with it. All which can be quite embarrassing. With some it is more serious then others. It can range from spending much of your day in the bathroom and install a fear to ever be very far from a bathroom to just an increasing frequency of BM's. I was one of the lucky ones. I only have 2 to 3 bm's a day. Some of this is manageable by diet. You have to remember carbs=Gas. Gas can be very painful.
The other point that probably needs to be mentioned if you are seeking a more malabsorptive procedure, is that it is extremely important that you are compliant with an elevated amount of vitamin requirements and protein intake. If you are not good at compliancy then a more malabsorption procedure may not be your best choice.
There is a bit more info on my profile if you are interested. And by all means if you have any further questions don't hesitate to PM me.
Good luck to you on your research.

Mew and Teena,
Thanks for thinking about me! Yes it is healing very nicely! It is down to just under 3 deep now, it started at 5.5! The nurse that comes out to take care of it thinks I may be able to ditch this wound vac by the 12th! Yayy!!
I don't feel the best, having dizzy spells and no appetite at all. ( not ever a normal for me!) But, the scale finally moved 4 pounds in 2 days( plus the 8 I had gained from prob having swelling around my wound), so that is good. I am going for blood work tomorrow, as my bp is running lowish (102/62), not terrible though.
This is very good to hear.
I will praying that your wound keeps on healing and that you will be able to ditch the wound vac by the 12th.
I hope that your blood work turns out ok and they find out where the dizzy spells and low blood work are coming from.
The no appetite may just be because of all that you are going through.
YAY for the weight loss.
I know you were hella happy to see the scale move.
Keep us posted girlie because we are all concerned for you.

Well then there will be one "good" side effect for your husbands misfortune if you experience the "smell" issue.... I am sure my hubby wishes at times that his smeller was broken!

Thank you for your kind words and good luck to you! Please keep us posted on your progress.
